Prince George's Hospital Center - Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center

  • With an advocacy-based empowerment approach, Prince George’s Hospital Center Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center provides free 24/7 medical and support services

    Their team of trained hotline counselors provides crisis counseling, whether the event just occurred or you are experiencing emotional stress from a past event, the counselors are there to help. 

    The SANE program allows survivors to access a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, a registered nurse who has completed specialized education and clinical preparation in order to provide a Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE), which provides medical care to patients of any age who have experienced sexual assault or abuse, and domestic violence as well as diagnostic testing and forensic evidence collection. The staff assists survivors with their safety and emotional needs; referring them for follow-up support, counseling, shelter and legal assistance. 

    Directions: Follow U.S. Highway 193 east (University Boulevard) towards Greenbelt. Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway towards Washington, D.C. Follow the signs to the hospital.
